LAS CORRIENTES
A feature film by Milagros Mumenthaler
During a work trip to Geneva, Lina (34), an Argentine fashion designer, jumps from a bridge into the icy river water — a mechanical and instinctive gesture.
Back in Buenos Aires, she decides not to tell anyone, but develops a physical fear of water that prevents her from carrying out everyday tasks.
Since the incident, she has begun to look at the life choices she’s made with distance and criticism. She reconnects with a painful past, coming from a working-class background she had rejected for years, hoping to find answers to her deep discomfort and growing phobia. But her increasing anxiety pushes her towards a situation that becomes unbearable.
