It is the late 1980s. As the Eastern Bloc disintegrates, two diplomats with an old grudge meet by chance in Geneva. They clash secretly and fiercely for almost a decade, while the world map is redrawn around them.

Andreas Fontana was born in 1982. After a degree in Comparative Literature, he moved to Buenos Aires where he worked as an interpreter and translator.
On his return to Switzerland in 2007, he completed a master's degree in filmmaking at ECAL in Lausanne and HEAD in Geneva. His first short film, COTONOV VANISHED (2009), won a prize at Visions du Réel. PEDRO M, 1981 (2015) was nominated for the Swiss Film Prize in the "short films" section.
He taught for several years at the Vevey School of Photography (CEPV), and now lectures at various schools and institutions, including the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD-GE), the Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne (ECAL) and the Elias Querejeta Zine-Eskola (EQZE) in San Sebastian, Spain.
