In 1810 in Buenos Aires, the revolution is at its height, fuelled by Rousseau's ideas. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, in the south of the country, a rain of ash disrupts a French expedition and a young woman, Marie Archange is left behind. All alone, in her head she hears Rousseau's minuet in G Minor, which gives her the strength she needs to continue on her way.

Milagros Mumenthaler was born in Argentina in 1977. She left this country very early for Switzerland, where she grew up. She directed four short films, selected and awarded in many festivals. In 2011, she directed Abrir puertas y ventanas, her first feature film, which was selected at the Cinéfondation, a residence of the Cannes Film Festival and which received, among others, the Golden Leopard and the Leopard of the Best Actress at the Locarno Film Festival, as well as the Astor de Oro at the Mar del Plata Festival.His second film,"The idea of a lago" is presented in competition at the Locarno, Busan, San Sebastian and Rotterdam Festivals.
