OBSCURE NIGHT - "AIN'T I A CHILD ?"

After having walked the streets of the Spanish enclave in Morocco of Mellila, Malik, Mehdi, Hassan..., now beating the cobblestones of the city of Paris, discovering its lights and its chimeras, its joys and it's violence...
The film also shows the fault lines in French society, and how “childhood” and a certain idea of youth can be the first to be affected...
This film is the continuation of the two previous parts, "Obscure Night - Wild Leaves" and "Obscure night - Goodbye here, anywhere". It closes the trilogy, the work on European policies about migration and the question of the street's children from Morocco, wishing to join the coast of Europe.

Sylvain George est un cinéaste français, né en 1968 à Lyon.
Après des études de philosophie, il réalise des films-essais poétiques, politiques et expérimentaux, sur la thématique de l’immigration notamment.
Ses films L’impossible (2009), Qu’ils reposent en révolte (2010), Les Éclats (2011), Vers Madrid (2013) et Paris est une fête (2017), sont projetés dans les réseaux militants, ainsi que dans des festivals internationaux tels que Cinéma du réel, Milan, CPH:DOX, Torino Film Festival, BAFICI, DocLisboa, Valdivia, Cinémathèque de Copenhague, Viennale Centre Pompidou, Forum des Images, Festival de Lussas, FID Marseille, etc. et font l'objet de plusieurs rétrospectives (Cinémathèque Française 2008, FilmmakerFilmFestival 2008, Festival des Cinéma différents 2008, Périphérie/Jacques Rancière 2009, Doc's Kingdom 2009, Subversive Film Festival 2010...)
